Larry “Jamie” Clayton Hewett, 40 of Castle Hayne passed away Thursday, January 31, 2013.

He was born in Wilmington, NC on October 24, 1972.

Jamie worked at Elemetis Chemical. He enjoyed being outdoors, hunting and fishing. He loved his family and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his two children, Jaymee Kae Hewett and Clayton Alexander Hewett; his fiancé Angela Hinton; his mother, Donna Best Hewett, his father and step mother, William Dave Hewett and Teresa Hewett; sister, Bonnie Hewett; brother, Tony Hewett; a large extended family and many friends.

The family will see friends at Wilmington Funeral Chapel 6 to 8 PM Monday, February 4, 2013.

Funeral services will be held 2 pm Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at Wilmington Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Sea Gate Cemetery.

    Jamie was a very close friend when we were kids. I am sorry to say that we lost track of one another but our paths did cross once in a while during the past few years. He was loved dearly by my mom and always thought of him as a younger brother. He will be missed.
