LaRue B. Marcus

LaRue B. Marcus went to be with her Lord and Savior after a long illness on August 31, 2009.

She was born March 17, 1923, to the late Daniel Hoffman and Edith Gessner Hoffman (George) Cronauer. She was a devoted wife and mother and was preceded in death by her husband, Brim C. Marcus, children, Wayne C. Marcus and June LaRue Marcus, siblings, Robert, Russell and George Cronauer and Edith Cronauer Harper, one great-grandson, Andrew Fowler.

LaRue was very active in her home churches with her last membership at First United Church of Jupiter-Tequesta, Jupiter, Florida. She was also known for her paintings and clothes designs during the 70’s and 80’s.

She is survived by their 5 children, Sandra Doss, Leslie (Reba)Marcus, of Jupiter, Florida, Dennis (Karen) Marcus, of West Palm Beach, Florida, Kathleen (Joe) Olivella of Boynton Beach, Florida and Cheryle (William) Shaffer of Wilmington, NC, 19 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren. With special mention of her niece, Sharon (Raymond) Kanady, of Mickleton, NJ. One remaining sister Dorothy (Edward) Mauger, of Atco, NJ. and many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of her life will be determined at a later date in Florida.
