Lawrence D. Senten

Lawrence D Senten, 82, born April 30, 1928, only child of the late Lawrence & Christine Senten of Chicago. He made his home here in Porters Neck, Wilmington.

He is survived by his wife, Elaine and three beloved labradors. He is survived by his daughter, Diane C. Lonsdale (Reisterstown, MD), daughter Lorelei Reinhardt (Alma, WI) and son, Peter L. Senten (Kansas City, MO) and stepson, Eric Slason (Manchester, NH). Larry has seven grandkids. Prior to retirement, Larry grew up in Chicago where he made his career in writing & advertising retiring as Creative Director in Detroit for K & E. Among his accounts & clients were Standard Oil (Johnnie Cash), Ace Hardware (Suzanne Somers), American Dairy Assoc.,, Hotpoint (John Wayne), Chrysler (Iaccocca),

He was a brillant man with wonderful sense of humor. He is also preceded in death by his first wife, Faye from Chicago. Together they retired to Sarasota, Fl where they made their home until Faye’s passing 17 years ago., His interests were foreign languages and European travel as well as writing and crossword puzzles, classical music.

A funeral service with full military honors will be conducted 11:00 A.M Monday July 12, 2010 at Wilmington Burial and Cremation Service.
