Lee Vick Connor, Jr. age 71 of Delco passed away Tuesday, June 17, 2014.

He was born in Columbus County on December 10, 1942 to Lee Vick Connor, Sr., and Annie Thomas Irvin Connor. Preceded in death by brothers, Irvin and Lewis Connor, and a sister Sue Ann Connor.

Lee enjoyed living on his farm in the Delco Community, and was a professional electrician in construction. He was a long time member of First Baptist Church of Delco; Past Master of Waccamaw Lodge # 596 AF&AM, Past Patron of Atkinson Chapter # 280 OES, Sudan Shriner; and was very proud to be a member of the Sons of the Confederacy serving as Lt. Commander in Chief in 1990. Lee cultivated and grew beautiful roses and was known for giving them to many members of the community, and was a beekeeper producing honey under the name of “Boggy Branch”.
Lee was well known in the Delco Community. He was dedicated to taking care of his mother for many years until her death and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Surviving are his brother, Richard Connor; two sisters, Joan Connor and Birdie Frink and husband Barry.

A Celebration of Life memorial ceremony will be held 11 am Saturday, June 21, 2014 at Red Hill Pentecostal Church 1198 Byrdville-Freeman Road, Delco, NC 28436 officiated by Rev. Calvin Malpass. The family will greet friends and neighbors an hour prior to the service.

Memorial donations are suggested to the Shriners Hospitals for Children, Sudan Temple 403 E. Front St., New Bern, NC 28560.
