It is with the saddest heart to announce the passing of Firefighter LeRoy Richard Rossell, Jr A retired firefighter. LeRoy Rossell Jr served as a member of Tuckerton Fire Company No. 1 in Ocean County NJ, where he first began his dedication to protecting and serving the public as a volunteer firefighter. He served for 6 years in Tuckerton Fire Company No. 1 in Ocean County NJ.
LeRoy Rossell Jr served for 20 years with Shiloh Columbia Volunteer Fire Department where he served as Engineer, Lieutenant and Captain.
LeRoy Rossell Jr dedicated 30 years to the fire service and loved every part of it.
LeRoy Rossell Jr was a loving husband and a kind father, stepfather, grandfather, brother and friend. He gave unselfishly of his time and talents to his family, friends and community, always placing others before himself. Fond memories of LeRoy Rossell Jr will always remain in our heart.
LeRoy Rossell Jr was born November 26, 1957 in Ocean County NJ, and was the son of the late LeRoy R. Rossell Sr and his surviving mother Virginia Porter Carr Rossell.
He was also preceded in death by his father, LeRoy R. Rossell Sr, 1st wife Elise Lacombe Rossell, wife Diane Batanga Rossell and stepdaughter Diane (Chew) Zitto.
LeRoy R Rossell Jr leaves behind his mother Virginia Porter Carr Rossell , Children Virginia Louise Rossell and husband Sean Dangerfield, Rebecca Lee Rossell, LeRoy R. Rossell III, Larry William Rossell, Lance Micheal Rossell and wife Catherine Rossell. His stepchildren Nichole Henly, Robert Brown, Herbert Brown Jr, Joey Batanga, Frank Batanga, Irene Lees, Sean Batanga. Grandchildren Nafees Abdul, Kiara Leecan, Samara Rossell, Joseph Rossell, Aiden Rossell, Haley Rossell, Lance Rossell Jr, Kaheem Evens Jr., Serenity Henly, Annaya Henly, Christian Henly. Brothers and sisters Herbert Rossell Sr., Sally Atkinson and husband John Atkinson, Debbie Bamber and husband Ted Bamber, Sharon Rossell, William Rossell and Timothy Rossell Sr and many extended family and friends.
Memorial services will be 4:00 PM Sunday, October 26, 2014 at Shiloh Columbia Volunteer Fire Department, 19170 US Hwy 421, Watha NC 28478. With Pastors Paul Lathum and May Craven officiating. The family will receive friends at the fire department immediately following the service.
