I joined an already well- seasoned team at Havertys Furniture in Wilmington, NC. I was out of my league, surely, having made a switch from academia into something new. It might not surprise you to hear that my first day at the job was nerve-wracking. Lewis was so friendly and welcoming. He made me feel so comfortable and welcome. He continued this for the 7 years I remained. I loved the man. He was A pain, at times, sure, but he had such a fine sense of beauty and all that is related to wrong and right. RIP my fine friend. I love you.

Lewis and I went to Fabius Pompey together. He was in many of my classes, our art class was the best. He was so gifted and talented as an artist. We also work together at Wegmans carpooling with each other. I have been talking with him for the last couple of years catching up, he was such a gentle soul. My heart is broken. condolences to his family and sending prayers.
