Lillian Russell Barnes, age 83 of Leland passed away Monday, September 21, 2020.
She was born on October 23, 1936 in Abingdon, VA. Her parents were Thomas Grant Russell and Vergie Martha Lane Russell.
Lillian was a Charter Member of Bridge of Life Church in Leland. She loved her church and her Pastor Rev. Jerome and his wife Gwen Bullard. She enjoyed spending time with her family and her church family. She was a dedicated mom, grandmother, great grandmother, and great great grandmother. She loved her garden and flowers, especially Roses.
Lillian is survived by her children, Tommy Williams of Wilmington, Deborah Williams of Leland, Ricky and Debbie Williams of Wilmington, and James and Brenda Williams of Leland; 22 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, and 8 great great grandchildren; along with many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Priscilla Graham.
Family will see friends from 6 to 8 pm Thursday September 24, 2020 at Village Road Chapel in Leland.
Funeral services will be held 1 pm Friday, September 25, 2020 at Bridge of Life Church in Leland led by Rev. Jerome Bullard. Burial will be at Oleander Memorial Gardens.
