Lillian Irene Frederick, age 88 of Wilmington passed away Thursday, September 26, 2013 at Davis Health Care Center.

She was born in Cheboygan County, Michigan on January 15, 1925. Her parents were Henry and Adeline Ballor. She was the widow of Norman Elmer Frederick.

Lillian is survived by her daughter, Sheryl (Sherry) Jean Valentine; grand-daughter, Sherry Lynne Valentine and great granddaughter, Cara Baird; grandson, Brian Keith Valentine and wife Angie, and great grandson, Kason Valentine; sisters, Stella Gust, Janice Sorenson, and Patty Bellinger; and brother, Robert Ballor.

A Celebration of Life ceremony will be held 2 pm Saturday, September 28, 2013 at Wilmington Funeral Chapel.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer’s Association or Lower Cape Fear Hospice Foundation, 1406 Physicians Dr., Wilmington, NC 28401.

    Sherry and family, I'm so sorry to hear about Aunt Pinky. I've thought about her alot over the years. I know it's hard to let our loved ones go, especially after just losing Uncle Norm, but I know it must give you some comfort knowing she is finally at peace. Love, Diane and family
