Mrs. Lillie Swann Talman, age 92 of Wilmington passed away Tuesday, December 10, 2013.
Mrs. Talman was born in Wilmington on August 23, 1921. She was the daughter of the late Creasy Burbank Swann and Janie Rhodes Swann. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Talman; brothers, C.A. Swann, Jimmy Swann, Neil Swann; sisters, Lucille Buck and Tessie Colvin.
Lillie was a lifelong member of Oak Grove Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by one son, Frank Talman, III and his wife Gail; two daughters, Betty T. Hocutt and husband Billy, and Ann T. Lewis and husband Gaither; six grandchildren, Frankie Todd (Jerry), Beverly Wilson (Charles), Alan West, Brad Lewis (Sara), Tony Talman and Jackie Fralin; nine great- grandchildren Jerry Jr, Brandon, Nick, Luke, Gray, Taye, Bryce,Trysten,and Mattie; three great great grandchildren Zackery, Carson, and Hailey and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Friday December 13, 2013 at the graveside in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Officiating will be Rev. Harold Manning and Rev. Elbert Bradshaw.
The family will see friends Friday morning from 9:30 until 10:30 at Wilmington Funeral Chapel.
