Memorial Gifts & Donations

Linda Carol (Ragan) Russell was born on June 13th, 1946 and she went home to be with her Lord and Savior from the comfort of her own home surrounded by family on May 21st, 2023.

She was preceded in death by her father Walter Ragan, her mother Edna Ragan, her brothers Curtis Ragan and Jerry Wayne Ragan and her sister Janice Mullen and her husband David Russell Sr.

Linda is survived by her sons David Russell Jr., Tim Russell and Sonny Russell. Her daughter in laws Christy Russell and Shannon Russell and her beloved grand children Weston Russell, Brooke Russell, Raegan Russell, Alyssa Russell, Mylie Russell and her great granddaughter Haven Ray Casteen.

Linda loved family, she loved flowers and her green thumb was obvious by the landscape of her home. The holiday gatherings were a special time for Linda and her family. There was lots of food, laughter, cutting up and horsing around. Oh, if the walls could talk. And her fried chicken? Just ask her boys. There was nothing like mammas cooking. Her grand kids became her most prized possession. She saved every card, calendar and keepsake that they ever gave her, packed away safely in a special box just for them.

Her legacy will be cherished by all that knew her. A little vain? Perhaps. She liked to look nice. As real and true as it gets? Absolutely.

Memorial service will be conducted on Thursday May 25, 2023 at 6:00 pm from Beach Community Church, 5 N 4th St, Carolina Beach, NC 28428, with the family receiving from 5 to 6 pm on Thursday at he church.

My condolences to David, Timmy and Sonny, your mom was such a good mom, when we moved to Wilmington you were all so young. She had all of you so spoiled and she loved all of you so much, and your families'. You all will miss her and so will I, she was such a caring lady. Because she was such a lady, she always looked and dressed so pretty. She will be missed by many that knew her. She had the most sweetest attitude, I loved her, She is now in Heaven, among the angels, has joined your dad. They both made a such a lovely couple. She has joined all the Russell's gone before her. My love to all of you and your families. Your Aunt Lily

Sweet aunt Linda always made me feel welcome as a child in her home. she spoiled us and let us do what ever we wanted when we would go visit them. I always thought she was so pretty and so sweet. There are so many memories that I have of the kind things her and uncle Ray did for me. She was a wonderful aunt and will always be remembered with a smile.

We knew each other such a long time... And our kids knew each other the same length of time. What a wonderful thing for the parents and the kids to be friends and to live "almost" next door. And then God decided he wanted our Husbands - and then he decided he wanted you. I guess at some point he will decide it will be time for me to come and be with all of you.
