Linda Kay Vezina, age 74 of Leland passed away Saturday, Janurary 5, 2019 at SECU Lower Cape Fear Hospice Care Center in Bolivia.

She was born in Wilmington on September 8, 1944 to Andrew Hamilton Perry and Ella Nelson Perry. Linda is survived by her husband Burton William Vezina, Sr.; son Burton W. Vezina, II and wife Debra; daughter Donna Vezina Moscato; 2 grandchildren Damien JaRose and Perry Lewis and wife Holly; 3 great grandchildren Lily JaRose, Mila and Bennett Lewis. She was preceded in death by her mom and dad; brothers Alton Perry, John Perry, and Capt. Phil Perry Detective with the Brunswick County Sherriff’s Dept.

Linda retired as Co-owner and Corp. Secretary of the family business, North Brunswick Electrical Contractors, Inc. She was a member of the Cape Fear Shag Club as well as an avid hunter at the Shiloh Road Hunting Club in Council, NC. 2003-04 Linda was the Tree Decorating Chairperson for the LCF Hospice Festival of Trees at the Wilmington Hilton. Since her early teens, Linda had been a member of First Baptist Church of Leland. She loved God and left a legacy of faith to all who knew her.

The family will see friends from 6 to 8 pm Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at Wilmington Funeral Chapel 1535 S. 41st Street, Wilmington, NC.

Funeral services will be 11 am Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at First Baptist Church of Leland officiated by Pastor Chris Hall. Burial will be in the Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be relatives Andrew Perry, Phillip “Chip” Perry, Jr., Daniel Perry, Gaston Perry, Carson Lewis, Ed Lewis, Jr., Perry Lewis and Damien JaRose. Honorary Pallbearers are Van Lewis, Ed Lewis, Glenn Gainey and Dr. Frances Peceraro, MD.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Lower Cape Fear Hospice Foundation at TMCFunding

    Condolences to the family. Linda Kay was a favorite niece of my Granny Ella (Andrew Hamilton’s twin) which was evidenced by many photos of her in her youth. She had a sweet smile always.
