Linda Taylor Maynard

Linda Taylor Maynard (Mammama) passed away August 19, 2023 at the age of 76.

Linda was born December 18, 1946 in Gale’s Creek, NC to Helen Brinson and Dewey Taylor. She grew up with four brothers – William (deceased), Stephen (deceased), Rudy, and Eddie Taylor (married to Nancy). Linda had three children – Robbie DeGranier, Tammy Lawman, and Melissa Moats that she worked very hard to provide for on her own. Her family grew as her children married and gave her grandchildren. Robbie married Rhonda and had Mihles and Nicholas. Tammy married Richard and had Megan, James, Kristen, and Cory. Melissa married Randall and had Dustin, Jordan, Jagger, and Carter. Her best friend April, who parted too soon, also left two grandchildren Ella and Matthew that Linda loved as her own. Her family continued to grow when Megan married Gerald and they gave her five great-grandchildren – Trè, Trent, Kasey, Cassius and Jacob. When she was able, Linda loved going out dancing, gardening, caring for animals, and going out to eat. She could always be found with a glass of Sundrop and more to share! She would never turn down an opportunity to watch wrestling with her great-grandchildren or the chance to eat her favorite foods – oysters, crab legs, or steak! She loved her whole family very much, but as everyone knew, above all she loved her grandbabies – MORE!! This family she left behind loved her very much and her loss weighs heavy on their hearts.

A Memorial Service will be held at First Christian Church Tuesday September 26th at 1:00 with visitation starting at 12:00. First Christian Church is located at 2035 Oleander Dr. Wilmington NC 28403 (910) 762-1389.
