    Chuck Collini says:
Among other things that Mike taught me, probably the most memorable was how to fish. He bought me a new Zebco rod and reel and we went together to Johnny Mercer's peer. With my first cast the reel separated from the rod and went tumbling into the ocean. Mortified, I was about to start balling...but Mike stepped in and halfway laughing and halfway relaying to me that everything was OK pulled the reel back up by the line. We reattached, tried again, and had a great day of it.
