Louise Cranford Faires of Wilmington NC, formerly of Charlotte NC, passed away peacefully in her sleep on September 3rd, 2023.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 63 years Earl Rhyne Faires and her son Earl Rhyne Faires Jr. She was born in Wadesboro NC on May 13, 1927, to Mamie Hildreth Cranford and Adam Junius Cranford.
She had three sisters; Virginia, Kathleen and Margaret, and she had four brothers; Roy, Adam Jr., Boyce and Bobby. She is survived by daughter Deborah Faires Cherry (Timothy Cherry) of Carolina Beach NC; three grandchildren, Michael Rhyne Faires of Charlotte, Genna Lea Cherry (Asim Samiuddin) of New York, Cason Lee Cherry (Erin Cherry) of West Newbury Mass.; and two great-grandchildren, Maeve Cherry and Chloe Cherry of West Newbury, Ma.
Louise was a devoted mother and wife. She loved children and animals. Louise was very active in her church in her younger days and volunteered in many community events around Newell NC and the Charlotte NC school system. She was a member of First Baptist Church on Market Street in Wilmington NC.
Mama, I’ll see you again when we all get to heaven.
