Louise Mary D’Alessandro

Louise “Louisa” D’Alessandro was a kind hearted, compassionate and dedicated mother, “nonnna”, sister, aunt, and friend. She passed away on April 24, 2022 at age 73.

She was brought into this world by Mario and Angelina Ambrosio on October 27th, 1948 in Nassau County New York.

Louise spent her life providing for her family and never missed an opportunity to be there for them under any circumstances. Her value in family was top priority. She always showed a loving smile to anyone she met. Louise loved to be creative in the kitchen and never disappointed anyone that sat down at her table. Another one of her many talents was crocheting and knitting, she took a lot of joy in this craft. A handmade gift from her meant it came from her heart.

The empathy she showed to her friends and family was selfless. She embodied this philosophy while working with the Domestic Violence Shelter in Wilmington for several years.

Louise is survived by her two children, her son – Michael and his wife Ellen. Her daughter – Michelle and her husband Adam along with their three children – Davin, Kaiden and Joseph. In addition to her brother Mario and sister–in-law Lucille and her husband Mark.

A viewing will be held at Wilmington Funeral & Cremation from 4-6pm on Sunday, May 01, 2022 at Wilmington Funeral Chapel 1535 S. 41st Street, Wilmington NC 28403 with a memorial service to follow at 2pm on Monday, May 2, 2022.

    Sarah Hales says:
Louise would light up a room with her smile! She would bring so much joy to others through her cooking, and through her genuine care & concern for everyone around her. She was the best co-worker, friend, and family member anyone could have asked for. She would always have a spreadsheet for that- in purple of course! She had a great love for life and will be terribly missed. I am sure she is preparing to cook a feast for all her fellow Angles now. God Bless you and your Family Louise. We love you!
