Luke Oldness Rackley age 87 of Wilmington passed away Saturday, August 26, 20187 at Cypress Pointe Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Luke is survived by his daughters, Lorena Brinson, Ida Rigsbee, Christina Rackley, and his sons, Danny Rackley, Luke Rackley, Jr., Matthew Rackley, and John Rackley; 14 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Rackley.

Luke was a man of great christian faith, and loved his family very much. He was a proud veteran of the US Army serving with the 515th Engineer Petroleum Distribution Company in Fort Belvoir, VA and was Honorably Discharged in 1950. His career most of his working life, was a professional truck driver.

A Celebration of Life memorial service will be held 7 pm Thursday, August 31,2017 at Castle Hayne Advent Christian Church officiated by Rev. Randall Smith and Rev. Judy Strickland Porter. The family will greet friends an hour before the service.
