    Jerry Green says:
I am sad to hear that one of my best friends, LD Mintz passed away. I knew LD during our Junior High School and High School years. We had the best time growing up together, Learning to drive, falling in out of love with all the girls. We looked for jobs together, even walked a picket line fot the Electical Union in front of the Blockade Runner Hotel while they were building it. We walked a lot, laughed a lot, entertained each other with boyhood fun. Some of my best memories as a young person growing up on the Castle Hayne Road include LD. He came from a wonderful family and my prayers go out for you at this sad time. LD and I went through a lot together, but he never, ever let me down. He is what I call a REAL FRIEND. I love LD Mintz and hope to see him again one day in heaven. With a sad heart, Jerry Green

L.D. My dear Precious Brother. I love you Buddy, SO MUCH!! But you know that already. I went to see you today, and you looked so much at peace. I know you are in the arms of the Angels, and you will never have another pain, another surgery, another bout of dialysis, only good pleasant things are ahead for you. God knows, you deserve peace and comfort, and now through our Wonderful Promise from our God, that's exactly what you will receive. You were blessed with a wonderful loving wife, Diane, and I love her so much. She will be blessed, for taking such good care of you. She loves you, Buddy. We will all be together again one day. Until then, give our Precious Mama and Daddy a big hug and kiss from me. Rest sweetly L.D. Your sis, Daphne

    Diane Mintz says:
L.D. Just wanted to tell you, how very much I love you. We have been through so much sweetheart. That's what made our love even deeper, stronger and sweeter. I wouldn't trade all of our years together for anything. We've been there with, and for each other, through the worst times and the best times, and the wonderful, sweet times, FAR out weigh the bad. Honey, no one deserves a sweet, peaceful rest anymore than you, so you rest my love, and walk slow, one day you'll turn around and I'll be there. Until then, you will forever be in my heart, beating next to mine. Your Loving Wife Forever, Diane Mintz
