Lydia Mae Kinlaw died on Saturday May 21, 2011, in Wilmington, NC.

she was born in Chadbourn, NC on August 19, 1922, the daughter of the late Benjamin Brantley and Lura (Nobles) Tyler and was preceded in death by her husband, Acie Kinlaw Sr., two brothers, Charles Edward Tyler and John Daniel Tyler and a daughter Gloria Jean Kinlaw.

Surviving are: a son, Acie Kinlaw Jr. and wife Melinda of Wilmington, NC, a brother, LeRoy Tyler of Winston-Salem, NC and a sister, Lura Tyler of Southport, NC, four grandchildren, Acie “Trey” Kinlaw III and wife Mari of Wilmington, NC, Beverly Prickett and husband Will of Buford, Ga, Andrew Kinlaw and Clara of Alexandria, VA, and Dwight “Ike” Kinlaw and wife Anna of Wilmington, NC, four great grandchildren, Jacob Vincent Kinlaw, Daniel Adam Kinlaw, Ava Melinda Prickett and Alexander Stevenson Prickett.

A graveside service will be held 11:00 am Friday, May 27, 2011, at Sandy Grove Baptist Church Cemetery,8299 NC 242 Hwy S, Bladenboro, NC, 28337 by the Rev.Charles Kinlaw.

The family will receive friends from 7:00 – 9:00 pm on Thursday, May 26, 2011, at Village Road Funeral and Cremation Service, 525 Village Road, Leland, NC.
