Memorial Gifts & Donations

Margaret Ann (Marge) Hurd passed away on June 24, 2015 at the age of 73 from complications caused by Alzheimer’s.

Marge is survived by her husband, David, her mother, three sisters and a brother, two sons and their wives, and three grandchildren.

Marge taught in elementary schools in Maryland, Virginia and North Carolina. She went back to college while in her 40’s and proudly graduated summa cum laude from Trinity College.

After living in Alexandria, VA for twenty five years, Marge and her husband moved to Wilmington in 1999 where she served on the City Parking Commission, worked as a Teacher’s Assistant at St Mary’s School and volunteered at the Wilmington Railroad Museum.

The family would like to thank the Staff of Clare Bridge of Wilmington for the loving care provided to her for the last five months.

In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Alzheimer’s Association or the Wilmington Railroad Museum would be appreciated.

I am so sorry to hear of Marge's passing. She taught my children at Cora Kelly and was a neighbor on West Myrtle St. She was a joyful person and will be missed by all who knew her. Rest in Peace Marge. The Glass Family

Much love and sympathy to Dave and his boys. I will miss the Marge I first met with you at Hell's Kitchen. If you do have a service, I'm certain that the current team members of Cute Not So Bright will attend.
