Margaret Mary Davin

Margaret Mary Davin, 91, of Shalotte, NC, passed away Tuesday, February 19, 2013, at SECU Hospice House of Brunswick.

Mrs. Davin was born in Philadelphia, PA, to the late James A. and Mary McFillin Dougherty. She was the widow of Thomas W. Davin, Sr. She proudly served in the US Navy Nurse Corp. where she achieved the rank of Lieutenant. She continued in the medical field as a Registered Nurse until her retirement. She was also a charter member of Women In Military Service for America.

Survivors include two sons, Thomas Davin, Jr, of Ocean Isle, and James Davin, of Show Low, AZ; five granchildren; and eight great grandchildren.

There will be a memorial service held at a later date in Pennsylvania.
