Memorial Gifts & Donations

Mrs. Margot Amos passed peacefully at home in the arms of her loving husband on the morning of October 30, 2020

Margot was born Margot Cieplik on October 1, 1937 to the late Peter Cieplik and Franziska Jendro in Berlin Germany.

Margot was a loving wife, mother and friend to many. Everyone who knew her loved her and lovingly called her “Oma”. She was full of life, love, humor and spunk that will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She loved meeting new people and always had an open heart for anyone needing a friend. She loved cooking and taking care of her loved ones.

Margot is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Oliver Amos. Her seven children; Norbert Drabner (Ingrid), Monika Grimbs (Robert), Martina Drabner-Neumann (Heinz), Stephan Drabner (Bettina), Karin Nollstadt, Christine Williams (Richard) and Anthony Amos. Nine grandchildren; Jan Drabner, Kirsten Schmidt, Julia Sommer, Noah Nollstadt, Joschua Nollstadt, Michael Wiegand, Johannes Klein, Kevin Williams and Malik Amos and one great grandchild, Montana Wiegand. Her sister Giesla Winkler . Her sister-in-law Mamie Jean Shackleford (Wesley) and brother-in-laws Wendell Amos (Bobbie) and Lean Amos (Cynthia).

We take great comfort in knowing that she is resting in peace.

A memorial service will be held at 2pm on Thursday, November 5, 2020 at Wilmington Funeral Chapel.

    LaTasha and Lj Montgomery says:
Adrian Michael quoted, "She's the kind of queen that knows her crown isn't on her head but in her soul. "Your gently and loving soul Mrs.Amos is the light in the mist of all the darkness and your soul will reign for eternity. Nothing in this lifetime happens by chance. It was divinely predestined that my son and I were fortunate enough too spend countless times in the presence of a remarkable QUEEN with such an inviting caring soul. Prestine as a rare Orchid for all to admire yet resiliency and fearlessly conquering anything that stood in your way! Your legacy will profoundly resonate magnitudes of generosity in our hearts for the end of all time. Thank you for sharing your home, wisdom and cooking tips! Infinitive memories of you will forever be engraved in our hearts! Rest in POWER, LIGHT AND LOVE!

I extend sincere condolences and sympathy to Olive, her children and the rest of Margot’s family!! When I first meet her she was like a breath of fresh air with an engaging heart. It felt like I had known her a long time not even knowing she was Oliver’s wife. May God bless each and every one of her family as they cherish Margot’s life full of special and wonderful memories.
