Marie Farrow Benton, 66, of Wilmington, NC, passed away on Tuesday, May 29, 2012, after an epic battle with a terminal illness.

She was born on October 30, 1945 the daughter of Richard and Mabel Farrow. Marie will be remembered as a loving mother and sister, loyal friend, and a passionate spiritual scholar.

She is survived by her sister, Joann Farrow, her daughter and son Tracey Benton Hickman, and Chris Benton, her granddaughters Kendall, Lindsey, and Jordan Hickman, and her daughter in law, Emma Segasture.

Marie will be profoundly missed by her family, whom she loved and protected with fierce dedication, and her Tora study group, who loved and admired her immense intelligence, and sharp wit.

Graveside services will be held at Oleander Memorial Gardens on Saturday, June 2nd at 11:00 AM.

Donations may be made in Marie’s name to The Lower Cape Fear Hospice.
