Marie Hicks Sedelmeyer, a longtime resident of Leland, passed away on Sunday, November 19, 2017 at the New Hanover Regional Medical Center.
She was born on November 28th 1962 in Hamlet, North Carolina. Marie did a lot in her short lfe, she graduated with an Associates Degree in Health Information Technology when she was 51 years old. In her time in college, she was a friend and mother figure to so many. Marie was a warm, loving, and caring person.
She leaves behind her husband Jim Sedelmeyer, her four children, Nikki Jacobs and her husband James, Erica Lamb and her husband Rocky, Shaun Sedelmeyer and April Little and her husband Adam. Marie also leaves behind her mother, Barbara Hicks and sisters, Pat Butler and her husband George, Kim Perdue, and Mary Day and her husband Thomas.
Her visitation will be Saturday from 1 to 2 p.m. in the Wilmington Funeral Chapel with services beginning at 2 p.m.
