Marion Richard “Dick” Cantrell of Calabash, North Carolina formerly of Massillon, Ohio passed away on September 29, 2012 at his home in Calabash, North Carolina surrounded by family and friends. Born in Portsmouth, Ohio 1937 he was the beloved son of Magline ( Henson ) and James Marion both deceased. Dick was raised on a farm where he learned to love the outdoors and became an avid fisherman. As a truck driver he logged many miles and made many lifetime friends. His greatest love was for his family, as he was a proud father, grand father and great grand father.

He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years Beverly A. ( Kisner ) Cantrell. Siblings Joanne Moore of Chicago, Illinois, Bobby ( Kathy ) Cantrell of South Webster, Ohio. Children Randall Cantrell of Canton, Ohio, Barbara ( Cantrell ) Ratchford ( Richard ) of Navarre, Ohio, Debra Cantrell of Raleigh, North Carolina, Lisa ( Cantrell ) Taylor (deceased) of Canton, Ohio, Richard Cantrell ( Linda ) of Massillon, Ohio, Victoria Baker ( Mark ) of St. Croix, Virgin Islands and Debi Poth of Calabash, North Carolina; grandchildren Stephanie Cantrell, Nicole ( Jeffrey ) Summers, Matthew Cantrell all of Canton, Ohio, Richard ( Samantha ) Ratchford III,Joshua Ratchford, Benjamin Ratchford all of Navarre, Ohio, Brittany Taylor, Justin Taylor all of Columbus, Ohio, Cory Baker of Massillon, Ohio, Crista Baker of St. Croix, Virgin Islands, Rachelle ( Andy ) Kujawa of Culpeper, Virginia and Mandi ( Ted ) Rhodes of Lincoln University, Pennsylvania; great grandchildren Clara and Cole Baker of Massillon, Ohio, Tyler Kujawa of Culpeper, Virginia and Drako Summers of Canton, Ohio. “It’s not the years in your life that count, it is the the life in your years”- Abraham Lincoln.
