Marjorie Allen Ross, 75 passed away Wednesday, June 25, 2008.

She was born in Buffalo, NY December 24, 1932 to Walter and Kathryn Sherman who preceded her in death. In addition to her parents Marjorie was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years Douglas Neal Allen, Sr., and three precious years with Charles Calvin Ross, Sr. and a sister Mary Glenn.

Marjorie attended Endicott Jr. College in Mass. for secretarial studies and worked a number of years as a paralegal.

Marjorie’s greatest gift was the strength and courage in which she lived her life. Her devotion and love of family will be everlasting memories within our hearts.

She is survived by her son, Douglas N. Allen, Jr., his fiancé Debbie Craft, her daughter Kathryn (Katy) Allen Mercer and husband Buddy Mercer, step-son Charles Calvin (Chip) Ross, Jr. and wife Jan, step-daughter Karen Ross Edwards, brother Walter S. Sherman and wife Fran. Grandchildren Ralph (Trey) Neville and wife Kelly, Brett Neville, Courtney Allen, Erica Mercer Corbett and husband Johnny, Carson Mercer, Elizabeth Ross, Katy Ross and husband Guy, Julia Ross and Andrew Edwards.

Special to Marjorie are her nephew Fredrick Matthews and wife Donna, and niece Anne Glynn and fiancé Clayton Kirby, and many loving cousins, nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life service will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 28, 2008 at Windermere Presbyterian Church. Visitation will be at 10:00 a.m. prior to the service. Interment Oleander Memorial Gardens. Following the burial service, friends and family are invited to the home of Doug Allen, Jr.
