Marjorie Kay Limback

Marjorie Kay Limback 81, of Wilmington formerly of Pekin, IL passed away on Tuesday, November 30, 2021.

Kay was born in Centerville, IA on October 2, 1940, the daughter of the late Alfred R. and Marjorie Alice Montieth Johnson. She worked beside her husband in the funeral home for many years and was a wonderful caring homemaker that enjoyed reading mystery novels in her spare time. Also preceding her in death are a daughter-in-law, Easter Limback, brother, Gunnar Johnson, and sisters Wanda Wiemer and Sandra Gustafson.

Kay was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church in Wilmington and a former member of Bethel Lutheran Church in Morton where she sang in the choir.

Surviving are her husband, Al Limback of Wilmington, NC; two sons, Jeffrey Limback and wife Mitzi of Park City, UT and Scott Limback and wife Melanie of Wilmington, NC; four granddaughters, Madeline and Ella Limback; Adrian and Emily Box.

A celebration of life service will be held in Wilmington, NC on Friday, December 3, 2021, 10:30 AM at Messiah Lutheran Church. A visitation will be held at 9:30 AM.

Funeral services will be 10:30 AM Monday, December 6, 2021, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Manito, IL with Rev. Tom Wirsing officiating. Visitation will be from 9:30 AM – 10:30 AM Monday at the church.

Burial will be in Meadow Lawn Cemetery in Manito, IL. Henderson Funeral Home & Crematory has been entrusted with Kay’s arrangements.
