Mark Anthony Mueller

Memorial Gifts & Donations

With profound sadness and disbelief in our hearts, we announce the passing of Mark Anthony Mueller on December 3, 2020.

Mark Anthony was the devoted husband to the love of his life, soulmate and best friend, Kimberly.

Predeceased by his mother Karen, Mark was the proud son of Donald & his wife Diane. Beloved brother of Steven, David, and Maureen. Loving grandson of Mommom. Adored son-in-law of Joseph & Dorothy Grasso. Best brother-in-law of Lindsay Mueller, Adam Grasso & Lucy Taveras. Greatest uncle in the world to Olivea & Gianna Mueller and Samantha & Justin Taveras. Crazy & fun beagle daddy of Padme, Phoebe and the late Leia.

Mark was born and raised on Long Island, NY where his love for sports drew him to soccer, football and golf. Unbeknownst to Mark, his encounters in high school introduced him to Kimberly Grasso, his future wife and fellow superhero.

Mark proudly served his country with honor and distinction as an Anti-Terrorism/Law Enforcement Specialist in the United States Navy. Upon completion of his service, Mark moved to Wilmington, NC where his passion for life and his love of the people in the community became home for the duration of his life. Imbedded in the community, Mark was also a co-owner of Waterline Brewery. Mark & Kim wed on May 31, 2010 and recently celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary. Always connected, their moniker Kimull was indicative of their commitment to each other. First, last and always and they were a devoted team and indulged each other in their love of adventure, costumes, community event and of course, “Friends”. They carved out their lives together with beagle babies and had a love that many people spend a lifetime looking for, but rarely find. Mark’s love of Wilmington and Kim’s love of Mark brought them here together. Mark touched so many lives in so many ways, too numerous to mention. But if you have a few hours, just look at Facebook and you will see the legacy of kindness, caring and friendship that he leaves behind. Always there for others, Mark has literally given a friend in need the shirt off his back. He has left an indelible mark on so many lives. Today it brings tears at the thought of losing such a bright light, but it also brings smiles to know that we had such a gift in our lives. How lucky and blessed we are!

As you continue on your journey through life and have the opportunity to do something nice for someone less fortunate and are able to make a positive difference in the life of another, please take a moment to do so and think of Mark. The world is definitely a better place because Mark was in it. Mark Anthony Mueller…Intergalactic Beer Smuggler…Unofficial Mayor of Wilmington.

    Becca Tagg says:
Mark was one of my first friends after moving to Wilmington. Even back then, before Kim had moved to Wilmington, he glowed speaking about her. Then she moved to Wilmington and I got to meet and befriend her and I saw that glow intensify in her presence. I love you both and I'm so sorry for this immense loss. We will continue talking about him and spreading "Markness" like confetti wherever we go
