We would like to wish heartfelt condolences to you all. We loved Mark. He was a best friend to us . We will miss his smile, his laugh and the sound of his voice when he would say things like "go ahead"or "what the hell"or "get on with it" when he would yell at the TV like the Yankees or the Giants players or the golfer that was taking to long to hit a shot could hear him all the things that made him the unique and wonderful person that he was. Love you, miss you. The Simmons family

From the first time we met up until our last drive to Oleander Golf Centet, my personal experiece with Mark was never dull, always intèresting, and almost always fun. I'm proud to have known him and been a part of his life for 16 years. He was a mentor, not only to my game but to life. He took it as it came and faced any challenge like an accomplished General. I will miss him dearly and remember him for the rest of my life.

Hello my brother. You went to the lord six days ago and only now am I able to feel the enormity of losing you. These past few days have been filled with shock and numbness that this actually happened. I will always remember your unique personality, generous heart, and hilarious use of the English language. You leave behind a family that deeply loved and cared for you and many friends who feel the same. I will stop mourning your death one day and begin to smile when your name is spoken. You are missed and in my thoughts. Say hi to Mom and Pop for us all.

All in the golfing community in Wilmington will miss you dearly. You always had a witty sense of humor and were quick to offer swing advice in a simple yet effective way. My children, David and Mary Katherine, grew up learning the game on your "Tin Cup" range as we called it. I believe they are better golfers and individuals in having known you. Thank you for showing an interest in them and their golf careers. They miss you! I always looked forward to baseball season so I could walk in to your shop and say "How about them Orioles" because you were the most devout "damn Yankee" fan I've ever known. The times we spent playing together in the CPGA Pro/Pro were classic! Miss you Mark. David III, Linda, David IV, & MK
