Martin Russo Holt, age 74, of Leland, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 2, 2019. He passed away at Lower Cape Fear Hospice & LifeCareCenter.

He was born in Loris, SC, on February 15, 1944, the son of the late Joseph Cullen Holt and the late Lillie Goldstone Hardee Holt.

Martin worked as a Yarn Spinner at DuPont here in Wilmington.

He will be remembered and forever cherished by all that crossed his path. His laugh was contagious and his heart was wide.

His favorite pastimes were camping, spending time with family, and let’s not forget, mowing the lawn just to mention a few.

Together with his parents he is preceded in death by Harold Holt (Brother), Patsy Holt (Sister) and Bobby Holt (Brother).

Martin is survived by his three children; Kelly Holt (Son), Wendy Holt Carroll (Daughter) and Brandon Holt (Son). Also grandchildren; Adrian Peterson, Ava Holt, Killian Carroll, and Stella Holt, and brothers; Tim Holt and Paul Holt.

He is now reunited with his family in the Kingdom of Heaven.

There will be a service held for Martin on Saturday, February 9, 2019, at The Brunswick Center at Leland, 121 Town Hall Drive, Leland, NC 28451, in the friendship hall. The family will gather from 1:00 – 4:00 PM, with the Service beginning at 1:30 PM, after the family will have refreshments, food provided by family, you may bring a covered dish if you so desire.
