Mary Helen George, 69 of Wilmington passed away March 13, 2010 at Lower Cape Fear Hospice & LifeCareCenter.

Mary is survived by her husband of 49 years Bobby A. George, Sr, sons Bobby A. George, Jr and wife Patty, Patrick George and wife Lynn, daughter Deana Hamilton, grandchildren Gabriel George, Patrick George, Jr. and wife Mercedes, Angelina George, Elizabeth George, Stephanie Hamilton and Bailey George, great grandson Myles George, sisters Anna Picone, brothers Virgil Arthur, Billy Arthur, Gerald Arthur and Rodney Arthur and wife Maxine, several nieces and nephews.

Mary was a Baptist, a wonderful Mother and always put others needs before hers.

Services will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Lower Cape Fear Hospice, 1414 Physicians Drive, Wilmington, NC 28401

    My thoughts and prayers are with the George family. May His grace and mercy sustain you all through this time. Mary Helen is the loving grandmother to my son, Patrick. I know she will be deeply missed by all of her family. She raised an amazing son, in Patrick, Sr., and I am blessed to have known this woman and been able to witness her love and dedication to her family. You never left her without having had a good laugh, and being offered something to eat, she loved to make people smile!!!
