I will always cherish my relationship with Mary and the good times we had together over the past 25 years or so. She was like a second mother to me. She'll be in my heart always. Much love to the family.

    Joseph Skipper Funderburg says:
Dear Katy, David and The Dean Family, I remember Mrs. Mary Dean as the quintessential beach Mom of an island generation. Now Mrs. Dean's at rest on the heavenly shore, his life's storms are passed forevermore. As we age, what do we really have to cling to besides our faith, and our memories? And we shall survive, as our faith rescues us and our planks float us, when the breakers roar and the reef is near. The Fergus - Funderburg Families are deeply saddened by the loss of your loved one. Protect those in whose love we live and those who are dear to us. Joseph "Skipper" Funderburg and The Fergus-Funderburg Family
