Mary Theresa Molloy, age 81, of Supply, passed away on Thursday, June 21, 2018, at the Azalea Health and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born in New York on May 2, 1937, the daughter of Edward McHugh and Catherine McHugh.
Mary is survived by her husband Bill Molloy; children Ellen & Steve Helmerson, Marian & Tom Doherty, E. Christopher Molloy and Deirdre & Scott Messick; Grandchildren Matthew, Jake, & Caroline Messick; Maura & Ethan Helmerson and Kathleen, Gavin & Connor Doherty. She is also survived by her brother Edward McHugh, sister Barbara Keenan, cousin Helen Clarke and many nieces and nephews. Together with her parents she was predeceased by her son William E. Molloy, Jr.
Mary was a vibrant spirit whose life was defined by the love and support she gave to her family and friends. She was a great example for all of us in staying positive in response to adversity. The family thanks everyone for their thoughts and prayers.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, August 17, at 10:00 am. at St. Brendan’s Catholic Church, 5101 Ocean Highway W, Shalotte, NC. 28470.
