Melissa Kay Mitchell

Melissa Kay Mitchell passed away May 8, 2016.  She was born on March 12, 1975 in New Hanover County, North Carolina.  She was predeceased by her husband Ronnie Mitchell and mother Kay Thomas.  She is survived by her loving daughters, Kaitlyn Mitchell and Vanessa Avery; granddaughter, Marilyan; brother, Keven Thomas and family; father, Walter Thomas.

Melissa acquired her G.E.D. from Cape Fear Community College and volunteered her time for The Salvation Army.  A memorial service will be held at Coras Grove Baptist Church in Burgaw on Saturday, May 14, 2016.
