Michael Earl Richards, Sr., age 57, of Castle Hayne, passed away on Wednesday, March 15, 2017, at the New Hanover Regional Medical Center.

He was born in New Hanover County on June 23, 1959.

He was proceeded in death by his parents, L.R. Rivenbark and Peggy Elizabeth Rivenbark.

He is survived by his wife Barbara Ward Richards, children Michael Richards, Glenda, April Locklear, Johnny (Angie) Dickerson, Jessie (Caroline) Dickerson, Chris (Shannon) Dickerson, and James (Samantha) Cassell, brother Phillip (Debbie) Richards, and 9 grandchildren.

Mike’s passion was fishing and spending time with his family, especially his brother Phil.

Michael worked as a supervisor overseeing the erection of steel in the construction industry.

    I'll miss Mike. Lots of great memories working with him. Mike was one of the main reasons CFM, Inc. was a successful business. Mike would always say "you get the job, we'll get it done". A positive, strong, very talented man. I know all will miss him. My condolences to Teeny and all the family. JK
