Michael Edward Becker

Michael Edward Becker passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, October 17, 2017. He was a veteran of the US Navy.

Mike was born in Beaufort, SC, on October 24, 1957. He leaves behind his wife of 28 years, Pat Becker; a stepson, Walter Isengard; his mother, Carolyn Becker and brother Greg Becker, both of Jacksonville, NC; and his sister Lynne Colley of Lakenheath, England.  He was predeceased by his father, Robert E. Becker, and sister, Anne Marie Spencer.  He also leaves behind an extended family of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and a great nephew.

Mike loved the South and its great outdoors, especially the beauty of southeastern North Carolina.  He enjoyed fishing and diving; his business also allowed him to work outside much of the time.   Mike was also a dedicated member of Anchor Baptist Church, Wilmington, NC, where he and Pat were involved in several mission outreach programs.  A memorial service will be held at the church on Sunday, October 22, at 2:00 p.m. with Dr. Jeff Nichols, pastor, presiding.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Feed the Hunger,  https://www.feedthehunger.org/feeding-need-wilmington-2/, or calling 1-888-772-9634 to make a donation.
