    Dave Richards says:
Met Mike on 13 March 1972 when we both reported for our first day at the Howard County Police Department. We were in Class 72-2 at the Baltimore City Police Academy where we were sent for training. Worked with him several years later when I was assigned as the supervisor of the K-9 unit and Mike was a handler. Mike was a devoted K-9 officer and a quiet gentleman. You always knew where you stood with Mikeand I have thought of him frequently in the ensuing years. My sincerest condolences to the family of a man I was proud to know. Delmas Buck Atkinson, Jr. says:
I just learned about the passing of Mike and I want to express my condolences to his family. I was a Deputy with the New Hanover County Sheriff's Department when he first came to work there. I enjoyed working with him, especially when he came with his K-9 to back me up on patrol. When I left in 1994 he was still there. I'll never forget him.

    Travis & Kim Robinson says:
We worked with Mike for quite a number of years in the courthouse. We always knew where we stood with him and he always would stand up for his people with anybody, if he knew you were right. We additionally enjoyed our visit during a conference in Florida, in which we went out on the boat where He and Connie gave Manatee Tours. They were both home out on the water and had the biggest grin that you could imagine. I know that the example that he left us with is beneficial to a lot of us, God Bless the Gray Family and our Prayers are with each of you
