Mike Penner age 57 of Wilmington passed away on September 11, 2018 at the Lower Cape Fear Hospice and LifeCareCenter.

Mike was born in Germany on January 24, 1961.

Mike was a member of Port City Community Church in Wilmington and worked for VERIZON.

Mike is survived by his wife, Paula Carter Penner; two sons, Bradley Penner and wife (Sinead) and Seth Penner; one daughter Jennifer Penner and fiance Steve; mother Lieselotte R. Penner. Mike was preceded in death by his father Dieter Penner and a sister Diana Penner.

    We are so saddened by the loss of such a wonderful man. So many memories of dinners and hotels traveling with Zack and Seth through their youth hockey games. And even into Juniors when they played against each other. And he loved to tell our youngest son, Joey, the adventures of his dog, Otis the Pug :) Mike will be greatly missed.
