Mildred Whitley Hodges, 86, of Wilmington died Monday, October 29, 2012 at Lower Cape Hospice & LifeCareCenter.

Mickie was born in Wake County June 15, 1926 the daughter of the late William Herbert and Betsy Flowers Whitley. She was also preceded in death by brother Gordon Lee Whitley and sisters Edna Earl Hair, and Peggie Heacox.

Surviving are her son Hal of the home, sister Shell Lambert, sister-in-law Bernice Whitley and brother-in-law William J. Hair. A number of nieces and nephews.

A graveside funeral service will be conducted 10:00 AM Saturday November 3, 2012 at Greenlawn Memorial Park.

In Lieu of Flowers memorials may be made to Lower Cape Fear Hospice 1414 Physician Drive Wilmington, NC 28401.
