I'm very sorry to hear of Mitch's passing. We grew up together in Shelby and he was one of my best friends. We did a lot together growing up in the neighborhood, rode bikes, camped out in the woods, played sports, had girlfriends, and just did all the things boys will do. I only saw him a few times since those days, but the bond was always still there. I loved that guy. Wishing all the family Peace & comfort.

Mitchel was an older neighborhood friend who showed kindness and patience to a younger dirt biker. I have many terrific memories of our group of motocrossers. Prayers lifted for Mitchel and his family. May the Peace of Christ comfort all.

Mitchell and I grew up together in Shelby NC and were great friends. Played football, on wrestling teams, ran cross country, etc. Ran with the same friend group, rode bikes together, camped together, chased girls, and got into all the mischief that high school boys can get into. Our paths were divergent after high school, but we would get together from time to time with some other old friends and catch up and it was just like only a few days had passed instead of 10 years. Hard to believe he's gone and I won't get a chance to catch up with him again. I'll miss that. Long may you run, Mitchell!

Mitch was a gentle soul who had a positive impact on all those he encountered, from the time he was a boy in Shelby (when we first met) throughout his life! His smile is unforgettable! To Ann and the entire family—hang on to all the great memories!
