Nancy Ann Jewell

Nancy Ann Jewell of Wilmington, NC  was born in Falls Church V.A. on April 20,1948, and passed away on February 12, 2023 completing her journey of 74 years.

Nancy worked in the school system in GA and retired here in Wilmington from E.A. Laney High School.
Her kind heart and gentle nature assured you she never met a stranger. She loved the beach, gardening, watching the Eagles nest, and had a passion for horses (although very afraid of them). She had an outgoing personality and was so open and loving. She loved music and all of her dogs, especially her beloved Maggie.

She had a smile that would light up the room, and always wanted her family around and loved her family more than life itself. Her friends meant the world to her and she would do anything for them.

Nancy will be remembered by her infectious smile, her zest for life, her love for her husband, children, and grandchildren. Nancy and TJ spent time together after his retirement traveling, camping, and spending time together grabbing breakfast and sitting down at the river watching the boats go by.

She leaves behind to cherish her memories her loving and wonderful Husband of 33 years, Timothy Jewell, two beloved children – Jody Schaeffer and Daniel Schaeffer, three wonderful grandchildren – Justin Davis, Jenna Davis and Mason Schaeffer, 3 siblings – Hugh Clarkson (Elaine), Ben Clarkson (Emily) and Suellen Delahunty (Richard). nieces and nephews Tim, Greg, Jennifer, Courtney, Toby, Burt and Bart, their spouses and children and 1 great niece. along with a host of friends.

Preceded in death by her Mother Mellie McDonough (husband Joe), and Father Bill Clarkson

We would like to thank the Cape Fear Life Center for all their guidance, care and love throughout the last days of her life.
