Nancy Bowen Watkins, formerly of Salisbury, passed away Sunday morning August
24, 2008 at her home in Ocean Isle Beach, N.C. with her family by her side.

Nancy is survived by her Father Merle F. Bowen and her Mother Agnes B. Bowen
formerly of Salisbury, NC., a daughter Jennifer W. Zirt, son-in-law David Zirt
of Salisbury, two sisters Linda B. Huson and Bill Huson, of New Bern, NC, and
Marsha B. Lyman and husband Ted Lyman of Williamsburg, VA. and her beloved
Labradoodle Bailey along with a number of nieces and nephews and great nieces
and nephews.

A memorial celebration of her life, will be held for friends in Salisbury at a
time to be announced.

In lieu of flowers, please send any donations to the Humane Society of your choice.

    Jennifer, I know you don't remember me, but I was your mother's roommate while we were in school at Baptist. I loved her but we lost contact. She wrote me once about 10 years ago saying she was retiring and taking some time to travel. Unfortunately, she did not give me a way to contact her. I have thought about her often. I so hate we never got to talk again. I do know she loved you dearly. I can only imagine your pain.She was a great person! I'm truly sorry for your loss.

    Mom, I miss you so much, it has not gotten easier and some days are harder. I wish for you peacefulness and more happiness than you have ever had. I take comfort in talking to you and I hope you are looking down upon us often. Bailey is okay and he has formed a loving bond with Bogey. They remind me of Lance and Levi. I love you mom!!!

    Nancy I love you so much and miss you beyond belief. They say time heals all but it will take a long time for this pain to go away. If you can please place a big fish on my hook at the fishing tournament this year I would appreciate it. Love you forever, your sister Linda.
