Nettie Lou Hill Morris, age 82, formerly of Asheboro passed away on Tuesday, April 16, 2019 at the Lower Cape Fear Hospice House in Wilmington.
Mrs. Morris was born in Denton, NC on December 24, 1936 to Clarence and Grace Surratt Hill. She was retired from Bossong Hosiery after 20 years of service and was a member of Lineberry United Methodist Church in Denton. In addition to her parents, Nettie was preceded in death by her husband, Foy Luther Morris, brothers, Earl Hill and Allen Hill, sisters, Joan Maness and Lois Joyce, and sister-in-law, Bonnie Garner. Nettie enjoyed gardening and watching her flowers grow. She loved bird watching and trips to the beach.
She is survived by her daughters, Rosalyn M. Trogdon and husband Darrell of New London, Debbie M. Ramsey and husband Eddie of Wilmington, and Sheila M. Bobo and partner Tammy of Wilmington; grandchildren, Bryan Trogdon and wife Joy, Amanda Beaman and husband Riley, and Julie Ramsey; 7 great grandchildren; sisters, Joyce Lambeth and husband Dallas of Asheboro and Linda Cook of Denton; brother, Leon Hill of Denton; brother-in-law, Bernard Joyce of Asheboro; and sisters-in-law, Patricia Carroll of Denton and Sylvia Russell of High Point.
The family will receive friends on Monday, April 22, 2019 from 12:30-1:45 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue in Asheboro and other times at the home of Rosalyn and Darrell Trogdon in New London. Funeral services will follow on Monday at 2:00 pm at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Claudie Harrison officiating. Burial will be held in the Lineberry United Methodist Church Cemetery in Denton.
