Nisreen El-Helou Abramson, age 41 of Wilmington, NC passed away on Saturday, April 01, 2017.

She was born February 11, 1976 in Kuwait. Nisreen was a long time resident of Wilmington, where she lived since leaving her childhood home in Kuwait at the age of 13.

Family was Nisreen’s most prized possession and she filled all her family roles with grace, love and joy. She was always positive and looking for the best in everything and everyone. She welcomed many into her wide circle of friends and her radiant smile brought joy to all. Nisreen leaves a legacy of giving, sharing, compassion and love.

Nisreen was preceded in death by her parents, Mousa and Lamis Helou. She is survived by her husband, Glenn Abramson of Wilmington, three sisters and their families, Shereen Helou Pickett (Raymond, Sophia and Grayson) of Rocky Point, Nadeen Helou (Elizabeth, Zayne and Nadiyah) of Wilmington and Andrea Mohammad (Qasim, Jacob and Layla) of Salisbury. She also leaves behind many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

She lives on in the hearts of all she touched.

A private Graveside Memorial Service was held on Tuesday, April 04, 2017 at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Wilmington, NC.

A Celebration of Life for Nisreen will be held at Liberty Tavern, 7976 Market St, Wilmington, NC on Sunday, April 09, 2017 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m.

The family requests no flowers at this time.
