Norma Jean Brown

Norma Jean Brown, age 57 a resident of Pleasant Garden, NC and Wilmington, NC, previously of Galax. VA passed away Monday, April 3, 2023.

Jean was born in Galax, VA on July 6, 1945 to Cora and Zelmer Linville. She is preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, Calvin and Gene.

Jean was a writer and friend to all animals and living things. She published multiple books, and several short stories. As an Animal Advocate, she worked with many animal sanctuaries and rescues. She has a passion for remodeling homes, and a Green Thumb for her gardens. She was hard working and meticulous about everything she did. Putting everyone else before herself. She was a giver, and never a taker.

She is survived by her husband of 31 years, Michael David Brown; her son and daughter, Nathaniel “Jordan” Brown and Asia Syloan Brown; grandkids, Waylon and Wyatt Brown. Also survived by her brother, Jimmy and sisters, Barbara, Linda, Betty, Esther and Kathy.
