Nyoka Kersey

Ms. Nyoka Kersey of Parkton, NC was born on March 17, 1951 to the late James and Mary Blount in Robeson County, NC, and passed away on Sunday morning, May 1, 2022 at her residence surrounded by her loving family, completing her journey of 71 years.

Nyoka was a devoted wife to her husband Donny for 53 years. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, going shopping and spending time with friends at the McDonalds in St. Pauls. Nyoka never met a stranger she could carrying on a conversation with anyone that would stop and listen, but most of all she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. She will be truly missed by all who knew her.

She leaves behind to cherish her memories her husband; Donny Kersey, of the home, one son; Donny Kersey, Jr. and wife Mary of Tar Hill, NC, two daughters: Donna Roberts and husband Mike of St. Pauls, Ann Penaloza of the home, nine grandchildren, six great grandchildren, along with a host of relatives and friends.

A graveside service will be conducted on 2:00PM, Friday, May 6, 2022, at the Parkton City Cemetery with Rev. Danny Durden officiating.
