Rev. Bobby Wilson, Pastor of Living Word Full Gospel Fellowship passed away Tuesday, July 11, 2023.
Robert C. Wilson, Jr. (Pastor Bobby) was born on October 14, 1956. Pastor Bobby’s heart, mind, and soul were ready and he went to a place called Heaven on July 11, 2023. We can only imagine the joy he had seeing his daughter, Cynthia Lee Wilson, run into his arms and the homecoming he is having with all his loved ones that preceded him, including Robert C Wilson, Sr. (father) and Curtis Clifton Wilson (brother).
He is survived by his wife, Leslie Burnette Wilson; his mother, Elizabeth Lutterloah Wilson; his siblings, Janice Wilson Cooper (Pastor Billy) and William Wilson (Janeen); his children, Sabrina Renee Wilson Vaczy (Shane, Sr.) and Jackie Laney; his grandchildren, Sara Vaczy, Shane Vaczy, Joshua Riggs, and Matthew Riggs; his great grandchildren, Graeson, Brinkley, Brantley, Baylee, and Josiah; and many nieces and nephews.
On January 26, 1984 God answered his mother’s prayer by sending Leslie into Country Music USA to pull him out of darkness and propel him into his purpose. Before becoming a full time minister, he worked for Standard Glass for many years. He started his ministry journey in 1989 by being a dedicated servant and along the way he was a Royal Ranger’s leader, Deacon, served in the prison ministry, and would do anything asked of him. He earned a Doctorate of Divinity and Doctorate in Ministry. As pastors, they celebrated their 25th anniversary in February 2023, from founding Living Word.
He had the biggest, kindest heart and would do anything for anyone. He was a family man, who loved to travel. He would go and minister to whomever needed, no matter where they were or what time of day. He was about his Father’s business and wanted ALL people, even the ones no-one else wanted.
Funeral services are planned for Saturday, July 15, 2023. The visitation will be from 10 am to 11 am, with services to start at 11 am at The Highest Praise Church-19 Red Bug Road SW, Shallotte, NC 28470. Burial will be 3 pm Saturday at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Wilmington.
