Pat E. Locklear, Jr.

Pat E. Locklear Jr. of Supply, North Carolina passed away on October 28th 2019 at North Chase Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. He was born in Lumber Bridge, North Carolina on December 13th 1946 to Jessie Mae Lowry Locklear and Evander Locklear Sr. He resided in Supply, North Carolina close to his daughter, son in law and grandsons.

Mr. Locklear worked as an Electrical Estimator and Project Manager for many power plants, hospitals and U.S. Airports. He was a Army Vietnam Veteran serving two tours between 1967-1971. He honored his country and was PROUD to be an American!

Pat was a member of the American Legion Post 503 for 23 years,  America’s Most Wanted and Moose Lodge #1873 for 33 years.  He traveled to 48 states and 8 countries. He loved to travel, golf and fishing.

He is survived by his only daughter Sonya “Stacy” Spivey and her husband, his good buddy Joshua Spivey of Supply, NC

Six beloved grandchildren: Khristian  “BooBoo” Cain of Fairview, NC. Kullen Cain and Kaden Cain of Supply, NC. Kevin Cain of Bolivia, NC.  Kimberly Cain of Elizabethtown, NC and Breonna Cain of Bladenboro, NC.

4 Great Grandchildren: Alyiah & Isabella Hinzman and Grayson & August Cain.

2 Sisters: Jessie Chavis of Lumber Bridge, NC and Mary Locklear of Red Springs NC. A Brother Joe Locklear and wife Brenda Locklear of Lumber Bridge, NC.

He is also survived by many loved nieces and nephews and by extended family Chris and Donna Nance of McCall, SC.

Predeceased by his Mother and Father as well as his sisters Judy Lowery of Lumber Bridge, NC. Helen Myers and Joyce Baxley both of Reaford, NC.

Friends and Relatives are Invited to attend a Military Honors Memorial Service on November 30th at 1pm at the Southport Waterfront Park.

In Lieu of flowers,  contributions in his Memory may be made to Dementia Alliance of North Carolina or to The Wounded Warrior Project.

    PAT THANKS FOR ALL THE YEARS WE NEW YOU.YOU WERE FAMILY AND A TRUE FRIEND.WE WERE THERE WHEN YOU CAME BACK FROM VIETNAM AND NEW THAT YOU WERE SO GLAD YOU MADE IT BACK TO BE HOME AGAIN.WE MOVED TO GEORGIA AND YOU MOVED THERE ALSO .OVER THE YEARS WE HAVE BEEN THRU A LOT TOGETHER.I REMEMBER WHEN YOU WENT TO ORLANDO FLORIDA AND WORKED THERE BUILDING A PLANT & WHEN THE JOB WAS FINISHED YOU CALLED ME IN HOPE MILLS NC TO COME TO FLORIDA AND MOVE YOU BACK.I DROVE 12 HOURS DOWN AND MOVED YOU BACK THE NEXT DAY. OVER THE NEXT YEARS TO COME SEEMS LIKE OUR PATHS CROSSED FROM CITY AND STATES IN GEORGIA,SOUTH CAROLINA,ALABAMA,NORTH CAROLINA.WE WILL MISS YOU ( OUR FRIEND ) AND FAMILY JIMMY & LINDA POWELL.
