Patricia Brooks Dumm, 71, died March 6, 2015, with her loved ones by her side.
Pat was born December 14, 1943 in Key West, FL.
She is survived by her daughters Amy Dumm and Denise House, son in law Doug and grandchildren Riley, Connor, Makayla, Davis and Ian. Also her brother Norman, sisters Eileen, Connie, Mikki, Beverly, Mary, Angela, in laws and many nieces and nephews.
As the oldest of ten children, Pat had a strong sense of family and held everyone in it dear to her heart.
As a child of God, Pat had unwavering faith. She was an active member of Wrightsville United Methodist Church and several Ministries, including one at Sunset Park Elementary School; she had a servant’s heart. She was kind, compassionate and she loved fiercely, evident to all who knew her, Pat was full of life and humor.
Greeting her in heaven are the love of her life Ed Dumm, parents Henry and Helen Brooks, brother Guy Brooks and sister Jan Nicholson.
A service to celebrate her life will be held 3:00 PM Thursday at Wrightsville UMC, with a reception to follow.
As requested by her grandchildren please join us in wearing something purple (her favorite color) or something bright.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her name to Sunset Park Elementary school 613 Alabama Ave. Wilmington, NC 28401.
