Memorial Gifts & Donations

Patricia (Pat) Pollich passed away Wednesday June 23rd surrounded by her loving family.

Pat was born in Washington, DC and lived in Northern Virginia for most of her life. She was educated in Virginia Catholic schools and later received her RN degree from NOVA community college. Pat married the love of her life, Gardiner, in August of 1968. Pat and Gardy raised their 3 children in the Northern Virginia area and retired to Hampstead NC in 2015 to be closer to family and beaches they so loved.

Ever the caretaker and always passionate about those in need, Pat spent most of her career in gerontology, tending compassionately and lovingly to the elderly. Living by example, Pat touched the lives of all around her by influencing all of us to love more, give more, and be better people. Comments about the fierce loyalty our family shares with each other and our friends is commonplace and true. She has always been an amazing example to all of us, especially to her children and grandchildren.

Pat is survived by her children Nichole Feinsot and husband Andy, John Pollich and wife Devon, Jennifer Henriques and husband Mike, 5 grandchildren Lucy, Calvin, Benjamin, Nathan, and Jackson, siblings Michael Mahoney and wife Rita, Sharon Mahoney, Colleen Moore and husband Ralph as well as a large family of cousins, nieces, nephews. Most importantly Pat leaves behind the love of her life and best friend of 53 years, Gardiner, whose teamwork and commitment were revered by all who knew them.

Memorial Mass will be held 11 am Saturday, July 10, 2021 at All Saints Catholic Church in Hampstead, NC

I am just learning of the news of Pat's passing. We worked together at Leewood but lost touched after retiring. I'm in total shock. Pat was great to work with and rose to any occasion where help was needed. She was always joyful and pleasant and so supportive to her colleagues. I'm just so sad to not have another conversation with her. To her dear family, please accept my sincerest condolences. May she rest in God's eternal peace.

Impossible to put into words our feelings of love for Auntie Pat. She exuded love, kindness, light, sunshine, hope, gentleness and kindness all the time. She loved her family so well...we learned how to love through her. She is missed terribly, of course...but we will all be together again. There will always be more dancing and singing and laughing to do!!
