Patricia Sorrell Maloney

Patricia Sorrell Maloney of Leland, NC, died Sunday, October 3, 2010, at New Hanover Regional Medical Center, Wilmington, NC.

She was born in Raleigh, NC, on July 28, 1966, the daughter of Thomas Lee Sorrell and Mary Louise Massey Scoggins.

Patricia was a loving mother who especially enjoyed spending time with her grandson. She also enjoyed gardening, fishing and spending time at the beach with her family.

Surviving besides her parents are: a daughter Stephanie James of Leland, NC, three brothers, Phillip Sorrell of Leland, NC, Wayne Sorrell of Leland, NC and David Sorrell of Leland, NC, a sister, Sandra Frink and husband Donald of Leland, NC, a grandson, Jayden Patrick and a special companion, Willie Schubert of Leland, NC.

Funeral services will be at 2 pm Thursday, October 7, 2010, at New Hope Baptist Church, Leland, NC by the Rev. Allen Grey. Burial will follow in Goshen Baptist Church Cemetery, Leland, NC.

Family will receive friends one our prior to the service at New Hope Baptist Church.

Pallbearers will be Phillip Sorrell, Wayne Sorrell, Donald Frink, Deano James, Willie Schubert, and Ronnie Buffkin.
